What are Dysport, Botox, and Daxxify Injections?
Products, such as Botox®, Daxxify®, and Dysport®, are essentially natural, purified proteins that work with receptors in the muscle to reduce overactive movements that can lead to unwanted lines and wrinkles. These products are formulated with botulinum toxins that have been proven to be safe when administered in low doses. In cosmetic applications, they can be used to treat static wrinkles (lines that you see at rest) or even soften facial movements that may lead to lines and wrinkles in the future.
Dysport vs Botox: What’s the Difference?
These two great injectables are popularly used for different areas of the face. For example, Dysport® has great results for targeting larger surfaces for its fast diffusion, such as the forehead, while Botox® is great for targeting specific areas where more control is needed.
Daxxify® is known to be a more intense filler for targeting deep wrinkles, and can be a great option for those not satisfied with the natural-looking effects that Dysport® and Botox® provide.

What to Expect with Wrinkle Relaxing Injections
During your initial visit to Centre for Pure Skin, you will meet with our Facial Aesthetics Consultant to review your medical history, discuss your desired results, go over any possible risks and complications, and learn about expected outcomes, aftercare, and pricing. Then, you’ll move on to treatment.
Most wrinkle-relaxing injections with Botox®, Daxxify®, or Dysport® are quick and easy—lasting no more than 20 minutes. A very fine gauge needle is used, and several “pinprick” injections are made into the treatment area. Most patients describe these injections as mildly uncomfortable or even painless. There is no downtime associated with wrinkle-relaxing injections, but we do ask that you refrain from any intense exercise for at least 24 hours.

Is Botox® safe?
Botox® is backed by almost two decades of published studies and is one of the most widely used products of its kind. It’s approved for use in 95 countries and its safety and efficacy is well documented within the medical community. There are very few risks or known side effects associated with Botox® injections.
When will I see results with Botox®?
Most patients begin to see results from a Botox® injection within 4 – 14 days, with final outcomes becoming apparent after 14 – 30 days.
How long does Botox® last?
While each patient is different, results typically last for 12 – 16 weeks. Most find that they require 3 – 4 Botox® treatments per year to maintain their desired outcomes.
How many Botox® treatments will I need?
Most patients will experience an improvement after their first treatment. However, Botox® results are temporary. Continued treatments will be needed to maintain results.
Is there any downtime associated with Botox®?

Daxxify® FAQs
Is Daxxify® safe?
Daxxify® was studied a very large clinical study for a frown line treatment and included more than 2,800 people across different ages and skin types. It is considered a safe prescription medication.
All potential risks and side effect associated with a Daxxify® injection will be discussed with you prior to treatment. The most common side effects include injection site swelling and bruising. These side effect are temporary and cause little to no discomfort in most patients.

How is Daxxify® different from other wrinkle relaxing treatments?
Like other wrinkle relaxing products that are formulated with Botulinum Toxin A, Daxxify® effectively diminishes the appearance of lines and wrinkles by restricting muscle movement. What sets Daxxify® apart is its exclusive stabilizing peptide, which can result in a longer-lasting muscle relaxation.
How long will my Daxxify® treatment last?
As with all injectable treatments, duration can be somewhat variable from patient to patient depending each patients physiological response. However, Daxxify® can last as long as 4-6 months in some patients.

Does a Daxxify® treatment hurt?
Daxxify® injections are typically performed with a small needle and people treated with frown line treatments say the injection feels like a pinch. Any pain or discomfort is usually minimal and short lived.
