Chemical Peels

in Grand Rapids, MI

At the Centre for Pure Skin, we don’t believe that beautiful, glowing skin can be achieved through a “one size fits all” approach. Our entire menu of chemical peel treatments has been hand-selected based on customizable options that aim to deliver optimal results.

Why consider a chemical peels?

We offer a variety of chemical peels to reverse the visible signs of damaged skin, which can lead to tighter, more youthful, and even-looking skin. The medical-grade chemical peels performed in our Grand Rapids office work to slough off dead skin cells; revealing a fresh, healthy, glowing layer of skin.

Ideal Candidate for a Chemical Peel

People with reasonably healthy skin are the best candidates for chemical peels. Not sure if your skin is “reasonably healthy?” Don’t worry—we’ll discuss that during your initial consultation.

Aging Skin

Chemical peel facial treatments can be a great way to manage aging skin. They can be formulated to target fine lines, mild to moderate wrinkles, skin laxity, age spots and more.

Skin Discoloration & Pigmentation

Tackle tough-to-treat skin discoloration and spots with HydraFacial®. It can be customized with medical-grade serums to address pigmentation or used in conjunction with other skin discoloration treatments like chemical peels and IPL Therapy.

Acne & Acne Scars

Spots and bumps caused by acne breakouts can be hard to manage on your own. Chemical peels can be a great way to reduce mild to moderate acne breakouts and acne scars.

Dry or Dehydrated Skin

Along with proper home care, some chemical peels may help to balance dry or dehydrated skin by sloughing off old dry dead skin cells and improving the strength of your lipid barrier.

Overall Skin Health

For those who wish to maintain glowing and more youthful-looking skin, chemical peels can be a great way to keep already healthy skin looking fabulous.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions About Chemical Peels

Are chemical peels safe?

When performed by a licensed professional, chemical peels are considered safe. Professional medical peels should never be performed outside of the supervision of a medical skin care expert.

No. The chemical peels offered at the Centre for Pure Skin are sourced from various trusted partners such as PCA® Skin, SkinCeuticals® and SkinBetter® Science. Each brand has its own unique offerings and ingredients.

Some peels are used as part of a regular skin care regimen. Others are utilized in a more condition-specific manner or as part of a targeted skin care package. We recommend you schedule a consultation with one of our expert providers to determine which chemical peels are right for you.

Most patients report they begin to see results within the first few days following treatment, with the most noticeable results about two weeks post-procedure. It’s important to remember that each peel is different, individual treatment plans are different, and individual results may be different.

The nature of proper skin care is ongoing. As your skin continues to change, the results of your chemical peel will change as well. How long results last is different for everyone.
